Quality and passion drives the Southern Malting campaign 4 AUGUST 2015

Campaigners, trying to save the historic Southern Malting in Ware and convert it into an 'Arts for All' Community Arts Centre have been working hard to make the project a reality.

On Friday 10 July, a small group from the Southern Maltings Community Group (SMCG) met with Mark Prisk MP, after he had contacted them expressing support for the project.

Calling all Cars, and Musicians: Music & Motors 2015 Needs You 28 JULY 2015

Now in its Seventh year, Music & Motors, featuring live music and a small classic vehicle show, takes place in Tudor Square in the heart of Ware, this year on Saturday 22 August 2015 in the afternoon.

This relaxed, community organised event combines a display of interesting cars with music provided by local performers and you too can be involved.

Ware Town Carnival Galleries 6 JULY 2015

The month long Ware Festival started this weekend with the Boat Parade on the river followed by the Town Carnival procession through the High Street.

Ware Online were there with camera in hand and captured the fun in the sun.

Ware Carnival Weekend 3 JULY 2015

The 2015 Ware Festival begins on Saturday (4 July) with Carnival Day and continues right through the month, culminating with the famous Rock in the Priory.

The theme for Ware Festival 2015 is 'Where in the world?'.

The festivities start down by the riverside on Friday (3 July) when members of the Lea & Stort Inland Waterways Association arrive in Ware with their flotilla of boats.

The campaign to Save the Southern Maltings are hosting a party for everyone and anyone to kick off the best summer ever and support the creation of a new Arts for All facility in Ware.

Ware Town Fete 4 JUNE 2015

Ware Rotary Club will be running it's 7th Rotary Town Fete at The Priory in Ware this Saturday 6th June. The fete runs from 1.00pm - 4.00 pm.

There will be a number of Charity Stalls promoting their wares and offering fundraising items for sale.

Admission is free to all.

Vote for the Southern Maltings: Last few days 27 MAY 2015

The Southern Maltings Community Group have recently had their application accepted for a grant of £25,000 from the AVIVA Community Fund.

In order to get their hands on the money they need to get enough people to vote for their project on the Aviva website.

Please go to the Aviva Community Fund website and register to vote. You will then have 10 votes - please use all your votes to support the Southern Maltings.

Ware Food Festival returns for another year 19 MAY 2015

Following a successful first year in 2014, Ware’s 2nd Food Festival, organised by Ware Town Council, takes place in Tudor Square, 11am-3pm on Bank Holiday Monday, 25 May.

After last years inaugural event, Ware’s shops, restaurants, cafes and other food businesses showed  support for the festival to run again this year. read more...

Try sailing for free as local sailing club celebrates 50 years 16 MAY 2015

As part of their Golden Jubilee celebration, Hertford Yacht Club are inviting anyone who would like to try sailing to go to their "Try Sailing Open Day".
