Line up for Rock in the Priory 2015 announced 7 APRIL 2015

After wading through a slew of applications to play at Rock in the Priory, Ware Town Council are delighted to announce the line up for Rock in the Priory 2015.

The well established RiTP Showcase took place in Fletcher’s Lea over the weekend 27-28 March.

Public Called to Support Campaign to Save the Southern Malting 24 FEBRUARY 2015

The Southern Malting Community Group is organising a public meeting to discuss the future of the historic Southern Malting building in Ware and how it might be saved for the use of the people of Ware, Hertford and surrounding areas.

The meeting, at 7.30 pm on Wednesday March 11, will be held at The Priory in Fletchers Lea.

Ware Festival 2015: Theme Announced  10 FEBRUARY 2015

Carnival Day 2015 falls on Saturday 4 July and the theme is ‘Where in the World’.

The day promises to be great fun, with the River Parade of decorated boats at 12.45pm, the Carnival Parade at 1.20pm and the Town Fair in the Priory Grounds

As always, there will be loads of stalls and entertainment for everyone at the Town Fair.

The Organising Committee are now taking applications from bands and artists who would like to perform at this special one day festival - a fantastic family day out. Rock in The Priory 2015 will take place a week earlier than usual,  on Sunday 19 July. read more...

Community Cinema: Jimmy's Hall 22 JANUARY 2015

Ware Arts Centre is screening its next movie to the public. The film, "Jimmy's Hall" will be shown on Friday 23 January 2015.

It's strictly ticket only so early booking is necessary to secure a seat.

It is the acclaimed last film by Ken Loach. It is a joyful and thought provoking film celebrating free thinking and the love of life. read more...

Dickensian Evening Gallery 6 DECEMBER 2014

This years Dickensian Evening saw thousands of people come out to support the towns charities, schools and businesses at Ware's festive street party. Each year the High Street and surrounding roads are closed to traffic allowing the town to enjoy singing and the chance to stock up on laser swords and glow sticks!

Ware's 2014 Dickensian Evening 30 NOVEMBER 2014

Ware's Dickensian Evening, the town's annual festive street party takes place this Friday, 5 December 2014.

As last year, where it is estimated more than 10,000 people attended the event, roads in the town centre will be closed and traffic diversions will be in place. read more...

43rd Annual Ware Firework Display 5 NOVEMBER 2014

The 2014 Ware Fireworks Display will take place on Saturday 8th November in its usual venue on the corner of High Oak Road and Kingsway. Whatever the weather, wet or dry, the fireworks will be launched!

The Rotary Clubs of Amwell, Ware and Hertford Shires, all of whom meet in Ware, are working together to put on the Ware Firework Display - an event which was started and run by Ware Round Table many years ago. read more...

Van Hage planning application submitted 21 OCTOBER 2014

Van Hage have submitted a planning application to redevelop their site in Great Amwell in Ware.

The plans involve part demolition and refurbishment of the existing garden centre with an extension to their café and the erection of a foodstore and café with external seating.

A new roundabout is part of the planning application which will allow easy-flow of traffic from Amwell Hill into the Van Hage site. read more...
