Ware Festival 2016:  22 JUNE 2016

The 2016 Ware Festival begins on Saturday (2 July) with Carnival Day and continues right through the month, culminating with the famous Rock in the Priory.

The theme for Ware Festival 2016 is 'Roald Dahl'.

This year the Ware Festival welcomes back the 3rd Riverside Real Ale Festival which takes place on the 9th July.

Community Cinema: Mr. Holmes 16 JUNE 2016

Ware Arts Centre is screening its next movie to the public. The film, Mr Holmes will be shown on Friday 17 June 2016.

It's strictly ticket only so early booking is necessary to secure a seat.

Graceful and elegiac, Mr. Holmes is a poignant meditation on mortality that just so happens to feature the world’s greatest detective in the lead.

Police Appeal:CCTV released after burglary in Ware 8 JUNE 2016

Police investigating a burglary in Ware are releasing CCTV images of two men they want to speak to as part of their enquiries.

Between 3.30am and 4.30am on Tuesday, May 31, offenders forced open a window to get into the Allenburys Sports and Social Club in Priory Street.

Ware Food Festival Gallery 2 JUNE 2016

Last weeks Bank Holiday weekend saw the Ware Food Festival setup in Tudor Square in the heart of the town.

There were lots of stalls and businesses supporting the town council's 3rd festival and it was enjoyed many the residents and visitors to the town.

Ware 3rd Food Festival 23 MAY 2016

Ware’s 3rd Food Festival, organised by Ware Town Council, takes place this coming weekend between 11am-3pm on Bank Holiday Monday, 30 May 2016.

Visitors are invited to Tudor Square to find the best in local food from your favourite Ware traders and eateries in Ware as well as food producers in Hertfordshire.

Ware’s Improv drama group launches at the Arts Centre 11 MAY 2016

Ware’s newest drama group launches tomorrow evening at the Ware Arts Centre (Thursday 12 May) focussing almost exclusively on the art of Improvisation.

Public Exhibtion: Future Landscape of the Southern Maltings 25 APRIL 2016

The public are invited to attend a special event at Hertford Regional College’s Ware Campus on Tuesday evening (26 April) 6.00pm to 9.00pm, as the Southern Maltings Community Group embark on the first phase of work to develop the Southern Maltings into a vibrant arts and performance centre.

The Future Landscapes Exhibition at the David Gentleman Gallery will showcase some fantastic concepts for the Southern Maltings that have been developed by students on HRC’s 3D design course. read more...

Online future as Kards & Krafts shop closes 20 APRIL 2016

After 11 years of trading from their shop in Baldock Street, Kards & Krafts will cease trading today (20 April 2016).

After evaluating the business, the retail side was no longer cost effective.
As a small independent trader, they were unable to compete with the larger chains and increasing overheads. read more...

The Ware Real Ale Festival 2016 4 APRIL 2016

The Ware Real Ale Festival will take place this year on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th April at the Arts Centre in Kibes Lane from 6:30pm to 11:30pm each night.

This will be the 19th Ware Real Ale Festival. It has become one of the best festivals in the region and welcomes visitors from a wide area. The Festival aims to raise over £1000 in funds for local good causes from two nights of enjoyable drinking.

Musley Hill School finally restored 20 MARCH 2016

Musley Hill School has finally been restored to its former glory and returns as an award winning day nursery.

This impressive Victorian brick-built period property with one of the few remaining fives court in the country, dates back to 1857 and was built by Elizabeth Chuck in memory of her late husband Maltster Edward Chuck. read more...
