Dickensian Evening In Pictures
Thousands of people were out on the streets of Ware on Friday evening to enjoy the Ware Dickensian Evening, the town's annual festive street party which sees the streets closed to traffic.

Ware all set for the 2011 Dickensian Evening 20 Nov 2011
Ware is all set for the Ware Dickensian Evening, the town's annual festive street party which takes place on Friday December 2nd 2011.
As last year, where it is estimated more than 10,000 people attended the event, roads in the town centre will be closed and traffic diversions will be in place.

Scout Post comes to Ware 16 Nov 2011
With the Chistmas season fast approaching, residents and businesses in Ware will soon have an alternative postal service thanks to the 3rd Ware Scouts.
This year, the Scouts are able to sell their own stamps and deliver Christmas cards (and only cards) in their delivery area.

Olympic Torch to visit Ware 9 Nov 2011
The route for the 2012 Olympic Torch has been announced, with Ware seeing the torch on Saturday 7th July, on it's way from Chelmsford to Cambridge.
The torch will be carried by 8000 torchbearers during it's 10 week relay, each carrying it for approximately a mile. Those selected for each relay will be picked because of a "personal achievement" or contribution to their community.

40th Ware Annual Fireworks Display 30 Oct 2011
Once again, the Rotary Clubs of Amwell, Ware and Hertford Shires, all of whom meet in Ware, are working together to put on the Ware Firework Display - an event which was started and run by Ware Round Table for many years.
Unbelievably, this is the 40th year this popular event has been held.

Loan of Great Bed of Ware a step closer 21 Oct 2011
The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has awarded £229,200 to The Ware Museum Trust to enable them to display the Great Bed of Ware in the town where it was made, it has been announced today (19th October 2011).
Alongside the HLF award, Ware Town Council has contributed £10,000, Ware Museum Trustees have given £15,000 from their reserve fund and donations, large and small, have been received from local people and institutions to support the project.

Ware Skate Park is Now Open 17 Oct 2011
A huge number of BMX riders, Scooters, Inliners and Skate Boarders flooded in to the Priory Grounds on Sunday 16th October, to celebrate the opening of the long awaited Skate Park.
Although the event was due to open at 1.00 pm, there were already keen riders congregating at 11.00 am, anxious to be the first on the new ramps.
