Clubs at Age Concern
There are a number of clubs that use the facilities during the day. All clubs are shelf funding and elected their own officers who report to the executive committee at regular intervals during the year.
The clubs have in total membership of approximately 300. The Warewell Club arranges an annual holiday and most clubs arrange outings to the coast and other places of interest during the summer months.
Friendship – Monday afternoons
Warewell – Tuesday afternoons
Keep Fit – Wednesday morning
Dancing – Thursday afternoon
Whist – meets on Wednesday afternoons
Over Sixties – meets on Friday afternoons
A luncheon club is held on a Tuesday of each week, the cost of the lunch is currently £3
The hall is also used on Christmas Day to provide a lunch for people of the town who are on their own over Christmas.
