The Ware Real Ale Festival 2011
The Ware Real Ale Festival will take place this year on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th April at the Arts Centre in Kibes Lane from 6:30pm to 11:30pm each night.
Admission is by ticket only, price £ 3 per night. Advance purchase, especially for Friday, is recommended. In Ware tickets are available from High Street jewellers 'Genesis', or Musley Hill pub 'The Crooked Billet'. Those coming from afar can call 01920 427245 in advance and ask for 'Real Ale Roger' who will help you secure your tickets.
Stop Press: Sold out for Friday. No Friday ticket; No entry. Still tickets available for sat.
A sizzling hot sausage Barbecue provides sustenance both evenings. On the Saturday there's the bonus of live music, provided by local band 'The Trees' making their 5th appearance at the Festival.
So that we can utilise the space in the vestibule and courtyard of the Arts Centre, entrance to the event is at the rear of the building, through the iron gates to the left of The Warehouse youth club, then along behind Waggers and up the stairs to the 1st floor studio where you will be given your glass and a list of beers and ciders available.
This will be the 14th Ware Real Ale Festival. It has become one of the best festivals in the region and welcomes visitors from a wide area. The Festival aims to raise over £1000 in funds for local good causes from two nights of enjoyable drinking.
With 26 Real Ales and Ciders to choose from, Festival visitors will find plenty to keep them happy. The ales are from regional and micro breweries all over the country and include the full range of strengths and styles-Bitter, Golden, Mild, Stout and Porter. All are sold at the same special Festival price of just £1.30 per half pint, so trying something different won't break the bank. Wine and soft drinks are available for the unconverted.
We are limited to the number of people we can allow in each night and it is not unusual for all the tickets for Friday night to sell out prior to the event, so make sure you buy your ticket in advance to guarantee entry.
The following list of ales and ciders has been released for the event by may change at short notice.
