The converted farm cottages - now the restaurant

Ware is now home to another dining destination – Three Lakes Restaurant and Function Room at Westmill Farm. Three Lakes opened its doors on Tuesday June 17th and looks to be a promising venture.There are many things that will differentiate Three Lakes from its fierce local competition. The view promises to take your breath away, boasting of the most spectacular view in the county. The restaurant sits on top of a hill and overlooks a patchwork countryside including three fishing lakes.The lunch menu is casual and quick – perfect for business lunches. The evening menu offers plenty of choice including "Best end of lamb roasted with a garlic and rosemary crusting served with a red currant jus" or "Filet of beef accompanied by chervil & wholegrain mustard sauce." It’s an ideal setting for dinner with friends or a romantic evening for two.Prices are very reasonable considering the setting and exceptional quality of food – lunches start at £4 and dinner main courses begin at £12.

Three Lakes also has a fully licensed function room housed in a separate building adjacent to the restaurant with its own private courtyard garden. It accommodates up to 70 guests and is ideal for any occasion – weddings, meetings, off-site corporate days, anniversary & birthday parties. Three Lakes Restaurant is family owned and operated by father-and-son team of John and David Vigus. The Vigus family has been farming at Westmill Farm for over 60 years and plans to continue to invest in new ways that will encourage everyone to experience Hertfordshire’s great countryside. Westmill Farm is already home to Rib Valley Fishing Lakes - three purpose built lakes for both fly and coarse fishing and great for all levels of fishermen. Since 1991, Top Pots Garden Centre & Landscape Specialists have had their greenhouses on the farm. It’s a great place for all your gardening needs with a full range of seasonal bedding, hanging baskets, perennials, shrubs and sundries. In late summer 2003, a par 3 golf course will be opening along with an indoor remote control racetrack.
