Byron’s Fine Food - 68 High Street

A new retail unit has opened in the High Street and has been welcomed by the residents and business community of Ware. Byron’s Fine Food opened its doors today (6th Aug) offering a fine range of high quality food and essential ingredients all with outstanding flavours. In the front of the shop you’ll find a dizzying array of cheeses and meats, all with the appropriate accompaniments. Some of the artisan cheeses come from remote Italian mountain villages and some are matured in caves. Others come from the lush green fields of England & Ireland - all renowned for their variety of flavours. The food hall occupies the back of the shop. On offer are ranges of quality European and Asian goods, the shelves interspersed with delights such as the indulgent Booja-booja organic chocolates, the flavour of the ancient Raineri extra virgin olive oil to the decadence of 12 year old balsamic vinegar. That elusive sugar-free Belgium chocolate or exquisite Italian pasta sauce are all available.Byron’s Fine Food is a family business run by husband and wife team Byron and Triona Smith. Two years of planning have gone into setting up the business, waiting, impatiently, for the right location. Finally late last year, 68 High Street became available after a long refurbishment by the owner. They fell in love with the old building, so decided the time was right to open the shop. They plan to have regular food tastings and are keen to offer recipe suggestions. Service is as important as the products they offer.The opening of the shop comes at a time when many residents are worried about the amount of shops that has closed recently in the town.
