Agreed - a brilliant day for the town.
I've just posted the first of a couple of galleries taken on the day.

And a huge thanks to all local organisations who took part - the Lea & Stort Branch IWA on the River, all the local organisations who ran a stall at the Priory & all those who entered the Parade. Will post a list of the trophy winners as soon as I have it to hand. Fantastic pics Craig - thank you.

Watching the parade it reminds us how fortunate we are to have such a thriving local Scout Movement who play a major role in many town events, without them the carnival would be very short - well done to them.
I also noted the sad decline in the number of Majorette Troups (I know many seem to hate them) in the light of recent concerns at the falling numbers of youngsters, girls in particular, who engage in any physical activity this can't be good.

As everybody has said what a great day - well done to all who take part in/organised. 'Majorette troupes' aren't my sort of thing however this year I saw from my point of view the best one I've ever seen. No idea who they were (there were near the Pug?) but all had little name badges, all in tune/step and more to the point all looked so happy, so well done to them.
(Great snaps as usual Craig, thank goodness you didn't snap me!)

They are Capricorn Majorettes - long time supporters of Ware Festival. They are a talented bunch - have won lots of national awards.
