Welcome to Ware Festival July 2011
The 11th Ware Festival approaches, the town's fantastic month-long extravaganza which involves many local organisations. This years theme is 'Science Fiction'.
The Ware Festival begins with the carnival weekend and ends with The now famous Rock in the Priory.
Saturday 2nd July is Carnival Day and begins with a parade of boats on the river at 12.45pm, then the main carnival parade in High Street at 1.20pm.
Don't be surprised if you see aliens, UFOs or robots - perhaps some marching monsters - with the Science Fiction theme, you could find yourself on another planet or have a close encouter in the High Street.
This is followed by more entertainment at the Town Fete in the Priory Grounds (entrance £1). The are many acts and performers in the main arena including Shaolin Warriors from TVs Britains Got Talent. The visiting Fun Fair opens at 2.00pm in the Buryfields. Please make the hard work and effort worth while by attending one or more of the events - there is something for all tastes and age ranges! The Ware Festival Committee look forward to meeting many of you during the Ware Festival Events in July.
