I know there is a plane spotter thread somewhere, however I was unable to find it.
Just saw an Apache helicopter gunship fly south following the A10 at Thundridge. It did look very menacing.

The Battle of Britian flight uses North Weald as a refuel stop when they are in the area.
The airfield does not charge them landing fees, unlike other fields

Not for the Paralympics, though their flypast was rehearsing last night over the stadium - not at all what I had expected, but quite beautiful!

Yesterday afternoon the Lancaster of the Battle of Britain Flight flew over Trapstyle Road very low and heading south, then a few minutes later suddenly reappeared, even lower, from over Ware Park, banking tightly and headed off South East, when the Spitfire and Hurricane appear from it's original path, to the North of Ware, and followed it off to I assume the Southend Air show? It appperard to have done a circle over Hertford to allow the other two planes to catch up.

You would have thought wouldn't you!! No, wasn't on duty and I've been posted to a different area. It definitely wasn't marked up as XA99, but was a similar aircraft with the fenestron tail.

Here's an ace app where you can view live flight locations...click on one of the planes to view the flight details and flight path.

Warning: it's addictive.

A blue helicopter hovering low over Wadesmill for about 30 minutes earlier this afternoon - it looked like a blue version of the police Eurocopter. Any ideas?

Lancaster low over Little Widbury just now - awesome!
