I am trying to get in contact with anyone who used to work for D Wickham & Co. Ltd in Ware and anyone associated with the Company such as local suppliers.
There's a elderly genterman called Dad(!) who attends the Albion on Friday nights - I have spoken to him in the past and he used to work for Wickhams all those years ago. Speak to John, the publican & I'm sure he'll shed some light on exactly who I mean...
Hi, I used to work for Wickhams, from 1976 to its closure in 1991. Also my Wife worked there from 1975 to 1979. My father worked there he did 50 years retiring in 1986. I don't know if this is any help, and I know of several ex-Wickham employees still living in Ware.
My Dad (now 84) worked for Whickams for 50 years as a sheet metal worker, retiring in in 1990, i think? when it was no longer Whickhams but the BM Group. He remembers a lot from his time there and knows a lot of people her were also there.
