I find it rather worrying you wish to applaud a thief. You post implies it is his own fault as he forgot it, much like someone forgetting to lock their door. Nobody has suggested the laptop owner was robbed, simply that he had his property stolen. And I am sure he feels rather violated at the loss of his computer which could contain his entire life like many people's laptops.
