Today the paper collection took place with the guys rushing around at a fair pace. After they had gone there was quite a trail of paper flapping around on the road. This happens about 30-50% of the time and I go and collect it. Today there were holiday brochures etc, not just tiny scraps. Individuals seen dropping litter risk a fine so I am interested to know whether this is a general problem and what approach most would take, ie collect it/report it/both? I did watch the collection today and when bottles were dropped they picked them up but if paper dropped they noticed but then ignored it. Incidentally, does anyone know why they literally run round. Is it to finish early/bonus/need to in order to complete in one day/second job later?
