you may have seen recently in the Mercury a mountain biker had come across wood with nails along a path in the woods . Yesterday my partner was in Broxbourne Woods on a well used path which he had ridden along only 2 hours earlier , when he returned on the same path barbed wire had been strung across the trail at chest height . He didnt see it until it was too late and cut both arms . It was reported to Hoddesdon police
Madness , pure evil for anyone to want to do this type of thing , it's not like bikers are doing any harm excersing in woods . If a family were out and a young child rode into that at that height it could easily take an eye out . The more you think about it whoevers doing this needs serious help ! What did the Hoddesdon Police say when your partner reported it ?
They gave him a case number and then advised him to contact enviromental health who said it was nothing to do with them and try the council - at that point losing will to live . He went back to trail today and made sure barbed wire was secure .
