It will be on display in Ware Museum from April 2012 until March 2013. Story from BBC News here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-17221436 although this does not give exact details of dates or visiting arrangements.

There will also be a tourist trail around the town to places where the bed used to be kept. I believe the museuam will have dress up and other fun activities for the kids.

I can see a family visit being organised for 7th July - see the bed, watch the Olympic torch run and enjoy the carnival, could be quite a day. What a great place Ware is!

I never realised that you can actually spray your lawn green, might be good for those 'dog' patches!

I was told they were aiming for the bed to arrive at 10.30am. Part of the roof has to come off and they will lower it down.

I see Kate mentioned delivery on 26th and Alec says tomorrow - not sure how confusion has arisen but we have just seen the Curator of the Museum and been told it's tomorrow, ie Tuesday 27th.

That's a shame I'm not in Ware tomorrow. Any chance of somebody taking pictures of the delivery and publishing them on the WoL homepage?

I think confusion Has been arisen because, the Great Bed arrival has not been avertised anywhere...it hasnt been mentioned on Ware Online since October 2011. Having just past the museum..there isnt a big banner or sign which makes a fuss of this event? I thought it was arriving today too! I would love to see this bed being crained in to the museum, but I cant make tomorrow anyway Iam sure i'll be down to see it!
