Does anyone have a CB radio that works?
I've found my old radio and wondered if it still worked.
No one appears to be transmitting in 2012, but it'll be good to see if my rig still works.

I have one somewhere and expect it will work but whilst I have a SWR meter I don't have a patch cable to connect it up and check.

Phew! Thats a 'Blast from the past' Craig. I still have my old 'Harrier CBX' with Astatic Teardrop Mic' and 'Moonraker' Mag Mount tucked away in the garage in their original boxes. Unfortunatly though I am now too far away to reach/help but it would be interesting to know how you fare with it.

FM 27Mhz.
Shall we try to get them going and test them out at the same time?
I suggest 9.00pm on Tuesday evening?

At a car boot sale I've just born an LP with Convoy GB by Laurie and The Dipsticks - and people complain about modern music. Must get it out and give the track a spin. (Anyone under 30 probably has no idea what I'm talking about.)

There was a fantastic mass 'eyeball' at the paradise Wildlife park in the early eighties
There were a band called "citizens banned" with some really funny songs and I broke the LP (remember those) that had them on it :-(

Well. That didn't go very well.
Either my rig and or twig are not working, or no one else was on air.

Hummmph. Yes, it's a CB27/81 rig - Looks like my setup isn't working. I'll have another play over the weekend and trim the antenna with the SWR meter - if I can remember how to use it.
