| Does anyone know what is happening to this building? It has been stripped down to it's timbers. Was concerned to see a 'demolition' sign, thought they were lisetd? |

| Planning permission was applied for some time ago for flats/apartments and I believe it was granted with the proviso that the existing features must be kept where possible. |

Ha ha - is that the features should be kept somewhere where it's possible - like on the floor? |

come on... Just the usual negative slant on the forum again?
If they are working on the roof structure, it stands to reason that they need to remove the cowls. The image shows it down on the floor, undamaged and ready to be put back up when needed. If it were to have been disposed of, it stands to reason that they would have smashed it in situ and not taken the time to have it lowered to the floor.
Just look at the other areas where the old maltings were turned into houses, at least the time is being taken to keep the external look in place where they have been done.
