Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm surely someone helpful and clever on the admin team will move it if not.
I had a search and couldn't find any thread about this years Ware in Bloom but thought it worth highlighting how fabulous the displays look at the moment with the mix of sunshine, rain and volunteer watering they're getting.
To be honest, I'm usually one of the guilty ones who just wanders past, oblivious to the great works done by some of these people but I was lucky enough to see the rear garden in the Spice Merchant (which if you haven't had a chance to visit, you should, the garden is an absolute hidden gem and a credit to the owners) and it was explained to me they enter as a part of the competition so, on my walk back across town I took the time to look with my eyes actually open and there are pretty displays to be found everywhere.
Seriously, in these fast paced times, with so many things to complain about, sometimes it's nice to just slow down for a moment and smell the flowers.
Absolutely huge congratulations to Jan Wing and all the people she encourages to be part of the Ware in Bloom volunteers, and all the best to anyone in the commercial categories going head to head with Le Spice Merchant, you've got your work cut out and I look forward to the results! :-)
(p.s. No judges were bribed at any time during this post but free poinsettias will be accepted for nice things commented in the future!)
;)

Agree, the work the Ware in Bloom people do is noticed by some and it is a welcome splash of brightness.

Agreed! The high street looks fab! I've had a few visitors in the last week or two who have all commented in the lovely displays. Well done all involved!

Does anyone know when we will hear the results of the judging? I know the judges came to Ware a couple of weeks ago.
