To carry on from my post, there will also be a large practice putting green and a short game practice area. So it hopefully it will encourage people of all ages to take up the game or to practice their existing skills. It will very much be aimed at facilities for the whole family.
The work will be done in 2 phases. Prior to the start of phase 1 the pitch and putt course will be constructed to allow golfers to play whilst the remainder of the site is under construction. A protected path and fencing will be constructed to allow safe access to the area. Phase 1 will take approximately 11 months. In phase 1 the driving range, clubhouse/public house/restaurant and pro shop will be constructed. Phase 2 will follow on the achievement of final levels of phase 1. This should take 13 months. So a total period of 2 years.
