Ware set for Jubilee Weekend

Ware is planning to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee – and a whole host of events have been arranged where residents can join in and enjoy the jubliee atmosphere.
Many shops in Ware High Street have already been decorated with the patriotic red, white and blue flags and bunting as the town prepares to mark Her Majesty’s 60 years as monarch.
The Local Government Association recently announced that Hertfordshire is having more street parties to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee with 451 planned road closures across the county. Ware are part of this celebration with street parties planned for Trinity Road, High Oak Road, Coltsfoot Road, The Hyde,Myddleton Road, and Trapstyle Road with parties in Dixons Court and many other locations throughout the town.
Stuart and Sue from the Billet in Musley Hill have organised a Jubilee Beer Festival. Starting on June 2nd and finishing on June 4th, they will be featuring 12 real ales, 2 real ciders and food available in the afternoons.

2 June

1 - 4 pm, The Priory Grounds
Art in the Isles
An exhibition of works of art, mainly by local artists, open all weekend 10 - 4, (except during services). Organised by the Friends of St Mary's
Art Exhbition @ Ware Arts Centre
Exhibition of works by several local groups including: Ware & District Photographic Society, Standon Embroidery Group, Lacemaking Demonstration, Hertford & District Embroidery Group, Willow Watercolours & the Mixed Media Group - 10 am - 5pm on 2nd & 3rd June - Admission free, light refreshments available
Royal British Legion Jubilee Celebration
Ware Branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding a Jubilee Celebration on Saturday 2nd June in the Clubhouse, Gladstone Road. There will be live entertainment, a fish & chip supper & huge raffle. Tickets just £5. Call 01920 463273 or 01920 463046

Childrens Games in the Park- Priory Park - 6.00pm - 8.00pm - Fun games and activities for children between six and 12
4 June
Family Fun Day - Woodson Park - 11am -4.30pm
Lunchtime Concert - A performance by The Ambrose String Quartet at St Mary's Church, Ware - 12.30 pm Free Admission with light lunches available before and after the concert.
