Community Cinema Opens in Ware
Community Cinema at Ware Arts Centre
After a false start last month, Ware Arts Centre is now ready to screen it's first film to the public on 20th November, following the successful Lottery bid for a Community Arts and Media Centre.

It's strictly ticket only so early booking is necessary to secure a seat.

The film, chosen after careful deliberation, is the award winning ‘Let the Right One In’. Like it’s venue it is an Art film beautifully filmed and atmospheric, yet brutal, bloody and tender.

It was an intentional choice to show films which aren’t ageing Block Busters but introduce Ware to Independent films and those of limited release. The Arts Centre, true to it’s name, has been working to increase the variety of productions it offers to the town.

'Let the Right One In’ is about twelve year old Oskar whose parents are separated, he is bullied at school and left alone at night while his mother works. One night he meets the mysterious Eli. They are drawn together and with the support of Eli Oskar learns to overcome his tormentors, but in turn learns of Eli’s secret and her connections to gruesome local murders. Eli’s situation is perilous, and Oskar’s life is unhappy, together they share an uncertain future. Brutal, bloody and tender, darkly atmospheric and yet a poignant tale of adolescence ideal for Halloween.

The Ware Arts Centre is ideal for showing films but because it is a small venue, early booking is necessary to secure a seat. To increase the experience, instead of rows of chairs there will be tables set out bistro style, with wine and beer to buy during the performance and of course the obligatory popcorn.

Tickets cost £3 and doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm viewing. To book your ticket contact info@wareartscentre.org.uk or phone (01920) 466212.
