Hertfordshire Constabulary now has a new number for all Non-Emergency calls.

0845 33 00 222

Write it down, programme it into your mobile, keep it handy. It’s charged at a local rate from a landline wherever you call from (charges from mobile phones vary according to your service provider).

    Use it:
  • To speak to a Police Officer or a member of Police Staff
  • For a general Police enquiry, advice and information
  • To report an incident or a crime that has happened {not an incident or crime in progress this should be a 999 call}.
You can still use direct line numbers to speak with officers you already know.

Calling 999
Always dial 999 in an emergency
An "Emergency" is when:
  • there is risk of injury
  • there is risk of serious damage to property
  • you suspect a crime is in progress
  • it is a serious incident which needs immediate police attention

  • If you have any information about a crime, call your local police station or call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111
Your call is free and you do not have to give your name. You could be rewarded for your help.
