Scout Christmas post service returns 19 Nov

With the Chistmas season fast approaching, residents and businesses in Ware will soon have an alternative postal service as the 3rd Ware Scouts return with their post service for a third year.

The Scouts are able to sell their own stamps and deliver Christmas cards (and only cards) in their delivery area.

42nd Annual Ware Firework Display 28 Oct

The 2013 Ware Fireworks Display will take place on Saturday 2nd November in its usual venue on the corner of High Oak Road and Kingsway. Whatever the weather, wet or dry, the fireworks will be launched!

The Rotary Clubs of Amwell, Ware and Hertford Shires, all of whom meet in Ware, are working together to put on the Ware Firework Display - an event which was started and run by Ware Round Table  many years ago.

Rock in the Priory 26 Jul

The 19th Rock in the Priory is this Sunday, July 28th 12.00 noon until 8.00pm.

This popular music festival is held on the Island in the grounds of the Ware Priory. It's always well attended so if you want a patch of grass, get down there early with your picnic.

Entry is £5 adults, £2 concessions, £5 for a family ticket up to 3 children.

The month long Ware Festival started this weekend with the Boat Parade on the river followed by the Town Carnival procession through the High Street.

The Ware Festival 2013 30 Jun

As usual, the 2013 Ware Festival begins this coming weekend with the Carnival Weekend and ends with the now famous Rock in the Priory.

The theme for Ware Festival 2013 is 'Food Glorious Food' and Carnival & the Town Fair falls, as tradition dictates, falls on the first Saturday in July, the 6th.

Music and Motors: In Pictures 19 Aug

The fourth Music & Motors, featuring live music and a small classic vehicle show, took place yesterday (18 August) in Tudor Square in the heart of Ware.

This relaxed community-organised event combines a display of interesting classic cars with music provided by local performers.

The Ware Festival 2012 & Olympic Torch Relay 1 Jul

The 12th Ware Festival approaches, the town's fantastic month-long extravaganza which involves many local organisations. With the Jubilee Celebrations just over, the town welcomes the arrival of the Olympic Torch on Carnival Day.

Some adjustment to the timings of the normal Carnival Day have been made to allow for the Torch Relay.
