Tourist Information Centre
Ware has its own Tourist Information Point within Ware Museum.
The Information Point has information on covering an area about 1 hour's drive from Ware and caters for all ages, with leaflets on hands-on farms, stately homes and gardens, aircraft or steam trains and lots more – including "Ware To" leaflets and the Ware mini guide.
Posters advertising local societies and clubs are ever changing and we welcome news of your events.
Although the TIP is an unmanned, help-yourself area, the museum stewards have extremely good knowledge of the local area and take pride in answering visitors' questions. Local postcards and books are available in the Museum.
The TIP is open during museum opening hours:
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 11am – 4pm, Sunday 2pm – 4pm
(closes 1 hour later in summer)
Additional Tourist and visitor information can be found on the council's new Tourism website – www.waretourism.org.uk which includes more information about what to do, what to see and where to stay in Ware.
For further services in the area, including bed booking, please contact Hertford Tourist Information Centre. The friendly and helpful staff will be happy to help supply information about both towns and are able to send out leaflets and guides about the area.
