Re: New Year Fireworks

I can understand why you're upset / annoyed but can't you see why people naturally see fireworks as part of New Year now (Sydney, London etc) ? A lot of cultures see in their new year with fireworks so I think it's fair to assume the Uk will too. Bit harsh to wish someone a year of hurt just because...

I assume the attached relates to this development. Nice to see they've started off as a good community neighbour

Re: Conservation Area Consultation

Very interesting and does pose some questions about the buildings and character in line with recent planning (such as the missing building on the river next to the gazebos, can't help thinking that would have been included under this proposal) Also interesting to note the following extract from the ...

Re: Tell takeover

I'm not sure what point is being made ? If it's the fact that drivers did not transfer from Abellio to Tfl Rail then that's their choice and may mean less driver shortages on our lines. If it was how much notice do they need to recruit drivers then that is not a simple task. New Drivers takes months...

Re: Beware Fake Isobel Hospice Collectors

Just found this on Twitter so maybe not a fake and they do use door to door canvassers @EHertsRrlPolice: We've arrived in Little Hadham, we've had dialogue with @IsabelHospice and this is a legitimate canvaser. The caller had CCTV we've checked. However I also take the approach of never signing up f...

Re: Asda Opens 14th May

Went in after 5 tonight and it was still busy. Huge range (but then again it was always going to beat Tesco on that front). I suspect that over time the range will change as they work out what sells and what doesn't. Tills were a little temperamental with recognising items (especially in store baker...

Re: Hertford Regional College - Ware Campus

Very disappointing I assume anyone who had to build extra parking spaces for extensions will now be speaking to the council seeking compensation for costs they incurred following a parking policy which is now unenforceable ? How long before pressure will be on to remove the yellow lines as parking i...
