Re: Oyster IS coming

Oyster is working at Ware now, used it yesterday and i think that it's slightly cheaper (50p) than the cost of the paper return ticket. That's what the booking office assistant told me - must check for myself though I say 'working' in the vaguest sense of the word as one of the machines is faulty al...

Re: Fake Workmen Approaching Householders

There were three men in the Watton Road area today - approaching some homes but not others and not sure what basis they selected the ones they called at. They were extremely persistent. Assuming that they were the same ones you mean, they wore black branded jackets but I couldn't see the company nam...

Re: Greater Anglia Trains

Very funny and very true - one should be posted in every GA train carriage. And the worst insult is when you arrive back at the station after delays to find a ticket collector there waiting to hold you up some more. The service has been shocking in recent weeks

Re: Mark Prisk Speaks in Commons on West Anglia Line

Not much to give cause for optimism any time in the immediate future is there? Expansion at south end of Lee Valley etc all lovely ideas but frankly just basic customer service and information from Greater Anglia, ticket machines that work and head office staff with the ability to think on their fee...

Re: Evening car parking

The other thing I have noticed in Kibes Lane in the many times I have visited recently is the increased/continuous prowling of the parking 'officers 'and more cars with tickets on. If people are taking liberties with the free time then fair enough as it's not in the interests of the traders for peop...

Re: Derailment in-waiting....

A Twitter hashtag would be good so that we can share it. Also there's commuter and transport groups that re-tweet rants about GA - they can hardly ignore it then.
Perhaps we could give the 'lurch' a daily score for severity - I'm sure it's getting worse

Re: Derailment in-waiting....

Yes noticed it too, people who don't use the train regularly often look terrified and comment on it. It's most noticeable on the return journey from London and I've seen people tipped from seats too. All very well for GA to say it's not been reported by their drivers but even if it's just changing t...

Re: MP Seeking Rail Complaints

I think our local MP has a meeting with GA soon, so that he can be patted on the head and sent on his way again by the rail bosses. I think the Which? take on the matter is probably correct that until customer satisfaction is integral to the tender process nothing will change. A lot of the things th...

Re: MP Seeking Rail Complaints

In fairness there is one thing they do well (only one) - the Twitter feed. They are very polite despite my regular rants at them. But, they are running a train service not a social media agency so that doesn't count Agree with all the above. Have you noticed they never put the ticket inspectors on t...

MP Seeking Rail Complaints

Our local MP is asking for our comments and complaints about the Greater Anglia service by the end of month so that he can raise them with rail bosses. If you haven't seen the request, here's the link http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/News/Complaints-about-Greater-Anglia-and-First-Capital-Connec...
