Re: Ware PSF Surgery Today 2.30pm

Difficult to track it down, but it's part of the Hertfordshire Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams and stands for "Priority Setting Forum". Quite what that means and what priorities you can set is another matter. A little more info here: https://www.herts.police.uk/news-and-appeals/have-your-...

Re: Rankin House, edge of Tudor Square

The Herts Mercury is reporting that the conversion of Rankin House to a Wine Bar has been approved. https://www.hertfordshiremercury.co.uk/news/hertfordshire-news/controversial-plans-ware-wine-bar-1993307 Err. Really? Because there's been no meeting of the EHDC Dev Mgmt committee recently. So who a...

Re: 1500 new homes for Ware

I read other posts on here of people saying that local housing is out of reach for their children. Then they say no more houses to be built. Well seems that if you don't build houses then prices will continue to rise. In this age people have to have somewhere to live. House building on this scale i...

Re: 1500 new homes for Ware

If you wish to comment on this you can use the consultation website to do so at http://consult.eastherts.gov.uk/portal/. It's open now until the 29 March and I'd encourage as many people as possible to write in with their views.

Re: 1500 new homes for Ware

There is now a consultation on the proposed modifications from the inspector, more detail at https://www.eastherts.gov.uk/districtplanexamination It looks like there was a great deal of lobbying from developers who have offices in Westminster so clearly have much local knowledge and interest ("...

Re: 1500 new homes for Ware

It represents an approximate 20% increase in the population of Ware with no specific improvements of infrastructure in terms of roads, public transport, healthcare (neither GPs or Hospitals), water, sewerage, waste processing or education. This has all been pointed out to EHDC in both consultations ...

Re: Whats Happening?

I still catchup on WareOnline every so often - about once a week now. I'd be sad to see it go and I'd be happy to help out posting news items and the like, but I can see your point of view as it is not a free service to provide and you have to pay for it.

Re: 1500 new homes for Ware

This isn't new Scottman, it's the district plan proposal that has been in place for literally years and people have had plenty of opportunity to feedback to the council with two long consultation periods both of which were discussed here and elsewhere. While it's always worth taking advantage of the...

Re: Flight path

3000ft doesn't seem so high when they come over my house! I'd say they were nearer 1000ft some of the heavier planes? I presume there are more northerly/easterly winds then in summer or is it just a clear sky syndrome? The bigger they are the lower they seem the minimum height rule is monitored so ...
