Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

The governments' decision to allow building on the school field was based on inaccurate and mis-leading information - read the document. Its being challenged.

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

** Warning - Heated Debate Alert ** It appears that this another 'Top Down' driven application in the same way as the recent Regional College one. 'We need a new sports hall therefore we need to get this much from our land. The only way the land is worth enough is an intensive housing development t...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

At the Ware town council meeting The Head of Chauncy made a serious claim that one reason why he removed community clubs from the field was because they were not insured and it was costing the school money. If true this of course would represent a serious Health and safety risk etc. However, I have ...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

Ware Town council have voted against the proposal to build a housing development on Chauncy school field to fund a new sports hall. This decision was based on their "local knowledge" of the area and the negative impact on infrastructure that another housing development in this area would c...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

That misses the point completely. Its a major route into Ware and drops directly into the High Street, it is busy. The volume of traffic that is there has not noticeably increased with a substantially larger housing development than the one planned for park Road, that's the point. The traffic flow ...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

4 3:16 pm The "currently little used area next to the swimming pool" IS the bit they are proposing to build on - albeit houses rather than the sports hall. As far as I am aware, it has not been used by the school for sports for several years, if not longer - the secluded nature makes it d...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

"The best way to stop traffic jams would be for the many parents who drive from trapstyle road to Chauncy and St Caths to stop doing so" You kidding - with over 1000 pupils most are bussed in ond way or another from all around the area. Apart from Presdales this is the only senior school i...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

so basically what I am saying is that Chauncy could have got the money from elsewhere in order to build a school sports hall. The development access to Park road is being sited directly between and literally yards from the GSK site entrance and GSK car park entrance on a fairly blind bend leading in...

Re: 50 more houses, is Park Road not busy enough ?

let them build 200 flats near your house then :D ? seriously, ware is far to overdeveloped currently. the infrastructure can't support the growth on many levels. everybody wants to see communal facilities like a sports hall but at what cost to existing residents who have to live in a part of ware th...
