Re: Local Elections
I made the effort to vote, it was around 6 pm and I was number 135. If you don't vote, you have no right to complain at the outcome. If you don't want to vote for any person or party, spoil your ballot paper, it is still counted.

The Maltings - under new management
Just popped in to the Maltings for a nosy and impressed. No drastic changes , Maureen still behind the bar and new landlords Jim and Helen welcoming and friendly. There is even pop up food this Wednesday which sounds really good, 6 pm onwards so looking forward to that!

A pavement licence is required and will have very strict specifications as to how far the seating can extend, and how many table and chairs are allowed.

Re: Nat West bank in Ware
I would highly recommend the third option having previously had positive experience with the extremely helpful staff in the branch. I find the bank itself well-intentioned but a bit clueless, but the manager and staff of the Ware branch are fantastic - a happy compromise in my opinion.

Re: Whats Happening?
I do not use Facebook as I do not wish to broadcast my status or what I am eating etc globally so would have to abandon altogether if the forum were to close. I still check regularly this forum to find out what it going on or any potential issues and I suspect quite a few more do too. Personally I s...

Re: Dean's Ablaze
Good theory, doesn't work in practice. Any flats built on this site are more than likely to come with a mooring and a premium price tag - out of the reach of most. Best hope of living nearby - a tent or a camper-van until on wins the lottery

Re: Dean's Ablaze
I have heard third hand, so cannot vouch for accuracy, that the road will be shut for 2 weeks, also that the bath showroom will have to come down. If this is true, prepare for the forthcoming luxury waterfront apartments with moorings......
