Re: Local NHS Crisis

Leaving the political wrangling and mudslinging aside [PLEASE!!] - we are in trouble with local NHS GPs already. The increase in provision of Nursing Homes plus the extra house building, soon to be vastly increased in this area, has not been matched with an increase in number of GPs. My husband has ...

Re: Late night shopping & opening hours

Not much to add, except I wasn't sure exactly when you are open. I don't know if you now have anything displayed but whenever I pass by it's usually before 10am and you have always been closed. Now that I know what your hours are, I will pop in and have a look. A late-night opening might be useful -...

Re: Milk delivery

We get ours from Ware Dairy - Tony Keeling. I think he actually lives in Codicot but is always very reliable. We get milk and eggs from him; the milk is much dearer than from a supermarket but the eggs (Free Range) are cheaper. Contact details: waredairy@gmx.co.uk or 07989 207401

Re: Sainsbury's Local

My husband has just gone past and says it' s now open. They've certainly been busy there the last few days - but they did this a bit quietly didn't they?

Re: Wanted Fridge

Any of the charity shops that sell electrical items will have had them PAD tested - that's why not many of them do so! There is another charity shop in Harlow - near the Bus Station - that does sell lots of furniture and household goods; not sure but I think that may be British Heart Foundation too....

Re: Doorstep caller

We've not had them recently - but several times in the past. They have some kind of ID (could be anything) and always say they are on a scheme of Young Offenders. I've seen a big van drop a group of them off at the end of the road. I actually feel sorry for them - as I do for the men who come round ...

Re: Post

We had one of these on Friday - same well-known charity I think! We asked to see it and declined to pay - so it was chucked in a large box with all the others at Ware Sorting Office. If this is replicated across the country . . . . Does anyone know - do they get returned to the charity and they have...

Re: Virgin media email sign-in

I'd be interested too - especially as it seems all my friends who use Yahoo mail are constantly being hacked and send out spam emails. I used the virgin media email as I use a couple of sites that require an ISP email address and won't accept others such as Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail because of this p...

Re: Virgin media email sign-in

I've had an email from Virgin Media saying they will be transferring all email in the next 3 months to their own service. They are no longer going to be using Google. So I guess the changes are to do with that.

However, much as it pains me to say, prosecutions to Eastern European's for snatching have occurred. Please don't think I'm doubting your word but can you tell me the source of this information? I've done a search and can only find some proven unfounded allegations printed by the Sun/Mirror/Daily E...
