Re: Hertford Regional College - Ware Campus

Well there will be 76 spaces for 50 homes, but the 28 flats will have precisely 28 spaces. Not even one visitor space. The flat dwellers will not be able to make use of the parking spaces in front of the 22 houses - these have approx. two spaces per house if you include their garages, which we have...

Re: Maltings On Kibes Lane

The museum would only have to find:- £1M The additional running costs. The cost of transporting the exhibits, preparing and displaying more items. The additional volunteer stewards needed. I doubt they own the Lodge but are you really suggesting we sell off one of the towns Grade 2 assets to a devel...

Re: Tudor Square

If Tudor Square excludes Music and Motors perhaps the Town council could be asked to host it in the parking space immediately in front of the Priory? Unlikely, August is prime time for Priory bookings so they won't want M&M outside making a row I'm sure they could manage a Saturday afternoon if nee...

Re: Waitrose

My original source on this said that the Waitrose mentioned wasn't going to be a huge supermarket - they thought it was going to be fairly small, more on the lines of a Tesco Metro or a Sainsbury's Local. Do Waitrose have huge supermarkets? Most seem much smaller, but then they concentrate on food ...

Re: Tudor Square

I really agree with Andy B and John D. Who would use the square after this £71000 change? The idea of a square is that there is a big enough space for people to gather for various events. Squares are not usually filled up with plants unless they are large enough to accommodate both. These plans wou...

Re: Child abducter pleads guilty

perhaps it's nurture rather than nature... In many cases it is, some simply never learn what constitutes a normal relationship and equate abuse with love. Many kids who have been abused (but certainly not all by any means) will sadly end up charged with similar offences and some, who have been subj...

Re: Maltings On Kibes Lane

.. and when was the last time a pub shut down apart from Waggers? You mean other than the Wine Lodge, Sun & Harrow and French Horn? :) A combined use is the only way I would think - each on their own are not likely to generate enough income. I recall going to an old church somewhere in the west cou...

Re: Cod Wars

If you had the queue that Wright's do on Friday then cooking each fish to order is hardly viable.. The fish & chip shop in Southwold manages this by taking orders further up the queue, so they're ready as you reach the front of the queue. Needs a decent throughput, good staffing and space for this ...
