Re: Hertford Regional College - Ware Campus

When they turned down the cinema plans on the basis that they were not in keeping with the buildings opposite they completely ignored the eyesores they had allowed to be put up right next door. The same is revealed in the Conservation Area consultation. Planning to introduce restrictions on people p...

Re: Conservation Area Consultation

I appreciate that, like the District Plan, many don't bother reading these things on the basis they don't affect you but people might be advised to have a look because EHDC are suggesting that lots of areas be made subject to Article 4 which would prevent such things as satellite dishes, replacement...

Conservation Area Consultation

You can find the details of the plans here http://www.eastherts.gov.uk/index.jsp?articleid=30392 Interesting reading but you are left saying - if you think that why did you allow x - on many occasions, particularly when the points they raise have...

Re: New Windows shop in Star St. or Scam?

The company are advertising for agents to earn extra money from your own home - so I thought that was prob...

Re: Neighbourhood Watch Email scheme

I had a visit from PCSO Nadine Ledger on Saturday and she is going door-to-door to try and promote a Neighbourhood Watch scheme via email (instead of meetings). Are you referring to the OWL Messaging system, which as far as I know is unconnected with Neighbourhood Watch. Every OWL message I get is ...

Re: Neighbourhood Watch Email scheme

They are presumably working their way around, I have been on this for months.
As I mentioned on the BT scam thread they send out warnings and the list of events in Ware regularly, also missing persons etc

Why not use WOL? because very few people are on it

Indeed, anyone with one of those scooter things will be effectively cut off from the town.

Re: Level Crossing Problem

If the Mercury report is founded on fact (if) then this might not be something residents should be passive about. Closing the crossing is probably more to do with cost than safety - something else they don't have to maintain and upgrade. There will soon be significant additional traffic from new ho...
