Re: Draft District Plan

It occurs to me that existence of the current “EH Draft District Plan” has not been efficiently conveyed to a meaningful number of the Districts electorate. Currently, there appear only two mechanisms of informing the electorate, one being on the East Herts website, another local newspaper eg The M...

Re: Ware High St Traffic Survey

I fear this is the wrong thread for this discussion however the route from the A10 junction with the A1170 past Wodson Park, running close to Fanhams and joining up with Widbury Hill outside Ware doesn't seem that far fetched. The decision on if that route would be ok with the local residents is a w...

Re: Ware High St Traffic Survey

................ while omitting the fact of a new link road between the A10 and Widbury Hill included in the same document. This will surely carry some traffic and may take some existing traffic away ? Where is this piece of information to be found? I can find no mention of this in the Transport pa...

Re: Ware High St Traffic Survey

Seems like a classic example of finding some statistics, interpreting in a slanted fashion and then using them to argue a completely different point. Why would the police be interested in answering a request on someone else's traffic survey or was it undertaken by the police ? If it wasn't then you ...

Re: Ware Town Council

...do you really think EHDC will be interested in organising Ware Festival, Dickensian Evening or supporting the many things that happen at a very local level.... Just to correct this misconception, although Ware Town Council do support these events and their support is welcome, the majority of eve...

Re: Ware Town Council

While this may be an option on the face of it, the situation is very different. Letchworth is a 'relatively' new town when compared to ours with considerably less local heritage. It only had a local parish council created in 2005 after 31 years of no local governance after the abolition of all Urban...

And now in "passnotes" for tomorrow's G2. http://www.theguardian.com/technology/shortcuts/2014/jan/08/ware-porn-capital-of-britain And Ware Online gets a mention too! If you read the comments the stinky landfill gets a mention too. At last the publicity we've been looking for (or maybe not)

Re: Ware and Boxing day?

How about we tweak the idea to an old fashioned Go Kart race. 1 driver and max 2 pushers round a course at a car park (maybe Wodson could host ?). We can celebrate 'non ambulance chasers' day and have all participants take part at their own risk with accidents actually being accidents *ah the good o...

Re: Sports Development Officer

............... none of the promised legacy of sports participation. Basis for this statement ? Participation may be down on last year but is up 1.5m since the Olympic bid was won. Last years cold winter may explain the drop last year. But either way surely too soon to state No legacy. To answer th...
