How can there be too many flats?

Houses are expensive and take up a lot ground space.

Flats are far more efficient and therefore cheaper.

How are our children ever going to live anywhere nearby?

Re: Dean's Ablaze

I heard the fire started in the roof. And there would be electrical cabling up there. The shame of it is the current Electrical regs don't require older fuseboxes to be upgraded if they still meet the specs current at the time of their original install. So many buildings have old fuseboxes and no re...

Re: Fanshawe Pool

Don't be too hard on EHDC they are still working on increasing their £120million contingency fund so money must be tight. Fanshaw is pretty much a foregone conclusion. And its demise will ultimately have been planned. Lack of investment has ensured its tired and dated and users vote with their feet ...

Scout Charity at Sainsburys Star Street

I gather that one of the charities customers can elect to "vote" for with their tokens at the Sainsbury's Express in Star Street is Scouts

So please if you need to doing any shopping that end of town then make a trip in and cast a vote for Scouting.

Thanks

Re: General Election

The young may have rebelled and slung mud. I can't really blame them. Their futures are on the line, mainly decided by a bunch of folks who don't really give a toss as they will be retired or dead. But the Labour leader and his campaign didn't resort to that. The Tories did. May spent her time avoid...

Re: General Election

I think the good thing Andy is that the miss information and slagging off actually played into Corbyns hands. He always said we wouldn't do that sort of politics and it was time for a change. And he stuck to his work. He debated the topics and policies. He said what he felt about the opposing polici...

Re: General Election

I was delighted at the overall result but it was a shame that our MP Mark Prisk, who wouldn't support the removal of the tampon tax, was retained. But here in Hertfordshire they could have stood the corpse of Maggie and still won... It was a great result for the young who under Corbyn got engaged an...
