Re: The Roebuck Hotel
According to this week's Star One Property Group (who were going to develop the site on behalf of St. James' Hotel Management) the site will now sit vacant for twelve months. It is already becoming an eyesore. What will it be like in a year? Wonder how they know it will be 12 months ? Sounds like a...

Re: Draft District Plan
May be a conspiracy theory but if Ware residents were affected most by a lack of delivered leaflets would that not also lead to a lack of responses ? The council would also still be able to claim a high percentage of people who did receive the draft if every other district household did receive thei...

Re: Draft District Plan
At what point in the process do we make a formal complaint that the council has failed in its duty to ensure a copy is sent to every household ? Comments in the press Many residents reported not receiving it, but the council said it was confident all homes had. is not a sufficient response. Reading ...

Re: The Roebuck Hotel
Not that I disagree with the outcome but refused on the grounds of being at risk of flooding ? Is that run off from the Fire Station ? Surely the hotel site is in a raised part where, if that was at risk of flooding then, large parts of the estate (Gladstone Rd) would be under water ? Along with mos...

Re: European Elections
Surprised you haven't had anything at all - we've had leaflets from the Tories, UKIP, Labour and the Greens - not sure we've seen anything from the Lib Dems though. However we never did receive the East Herts plan info that they say went to everyone!! I've had all of the above leaflets. In the most...

Re: The Roebuck Hotel
Walked past it tonight. It's amazing how quickly a building can look so dilapidated :( Looks so run down and I can see why the previous and current owners have taken a view it's uneconomical. Looks like it needs a heck of a lot of money spent to just bring the exterior up to a standard. Makes you wo...

Re: Draft District Plan
Having done a bit more digging it appears, like any good local government process, that all it requires is a copy to be available at council offices and local libraries. It would appear that our own Town Council have let us down on this by failing to inform enough people about the plan and meetings ...
