If the Merc is correct our crossing is one being considered for closure.

Re: Are we missing a Gazebo?

I see the old "why didn't someone (else) do something" is going strong. Our representatives can only take our views into account if they know what they are - when was the last time people contacted their rep (do they even know who they are?) As Craig has said the full details were online o...

Re: WARNING - 'BT' TELEPHONE SCAM

Neighbourhood Watch/OWL regularly send round warnings of such scams and suggest that you call them to report incidents. At the very least they will circulate a warning to all those on the scheme.

Re: So our MP Mark Prisk thinks feminie hygine is a luxury.

(have just discovered that mens shaving razors are exempt from VAT). I can't say the same the other way round. Shaving is no different to having hair cuts (in fact its exactly the same) and we treat that as a luxury. There seems to be argument over that - most sites I have seen are clear that VAT i...

Re: So our MP Mark Prisk thinks feminie hygine is a luxury.

My daughter would disagree, she regards chocolate as a necessity. At least women only pay 5% whereas men pay the full 20% on shaving items (which I would say are also not a luxury) (Amid all the Tory bashing it is also true that the last labour Govt. didn't remove it either and it also took them sev...
