Internet Connection for Mobiles
Internet Connection for Mobiles
Is anyone else having trouble in the High Oak/Kingsway area connecting their mobile devices to the internet. It seems to be off since yesterday but came back on around midnight but was off again this morning.
Re: Internet Connection for Mobiles
I'm still having problems; any ideas? It works fine in Hertford.

Is it an issue with your home router? Who is your provider?

I'm on O2 but I have GPRS come up in Ware but EDGE come up in Hertford. The pc in the house works fine or did when I tried it yesterday. Phone worked fine after midnight but lost the connection again this morning.

Maybe your Blackberry has run out of juice.

Cheers for that Pat, it seems to be ok at the moment.
Very droll Craig, I put some petrol in it earlier. Nothing wrong with my BlackBerry.

O2 have a mast out in the ware area so it is patchy at best depending on how well you can connect to the next nearest tower (There is an amount of overlap, just not huge).
Go here and you can get an up to date status.

Cheers darkmark, I think it might be fixed as I've not had any problems since the afternoon. Couldn't find what I was looking for on the link but PTFC said that he had problems with O2 on Monday.darkmark wrote:O2 have a mast out in the ware area so it is patchy at best depending on how well you can connect to the next nearest tower (There is an amount of overlap, just not huge).

Have any other O2 users had problems? At least I know it's not my phone, Craig. You ought to get a BlackBerry yourself.
