Continuing from the thread on the old board, here's a good place to publicise any live music happening locally.
I'll continue to include some of the good stuff from Hertford as it's close enough to be of interest to Ware folk, albeit abroad...
And, to that end, December gigs of note at Hertford Corn Exchange are:
Fri 13 Dec - Absolute Bowie - a welcome return to a great Bowie tribute.
Fri 20 Dec - Neville Staple - am original member of The Specials, expect to hear Specials hits and ska classics from Neville and his band. Support from the excellent Zipheads.
Local live music
Re: Local live music
What genre of live music do you want on here?
Here are some for next year in The Drill Hall:
Saturday 15 March: The Rollin' Clones
Saturday 5 April: The Beat
Saturday 26 April: St George's Day Band Night. Band TBA
Friday 9 May: Ultimate Madness. Back by popular demand.
Plus there are concerts coming up for Ware Operatic, HSO, Ware Choral, Ware Brass and others.
Keep an eye on the What's on in Ware section on the Home Page. (Where's the link?)

Er, anything goes, surely! And, while it's good to have big events on the WOL page, a threat that anyone can contribute to is far more likely to cover more.IGS wrote:What genre of live music do you want on here?
Excellent - happy memories of them in Hertford a couple of years back - video here - I love the energy these ska bands maintain!IGS wrote:Here are some for next year in The Drill Hall:

So, with apologies for the Hertford content, here's what's coming up at Hertford Corn Exchange - if you like music, do support it at a local level. And hopefully there will be stuff to report for the South Maltings at some point in the future - even more local!
