Pushing the pushchair along High Oak today and saw this van.
Had left a 1ft or so gap.
Leaving me to go round in the road.

This is happening around Ware all the time, many drivers just don't care about pedestrian access. Is there anything that can be done about it. Sometime ago the policer carried out Operation Pram and things did improve for a short time. Chief Inspector MacDonald has now gone from here but could the present police do it again please.

To be fair some of our roads are narrow and if one side of the road has parked cars there is no alternative but to park on the pavement.

Er, surely there's the alternative of parking elsewhere? If a road is too narrow to park legally, then it's too narrow to park!

It used to be that if you parked your vehicle on the pavement in Enfield you would get a fine I assume that is still the case and I do not see why that could not apply to Ware even if they had to allow one or two exceptions.

Its often a case of looking for a different location but that may involve a 20 or 30 second walk.
If its a trade van doing work then having tools close by maybe a valid reason but even so the pavement should be clear and the van should have been in the road.
There were no cars parked opposite so it could easily have been parked in the road.
