My information is five, but regardless, both the town council and Diego would bend over backwards to keep Waitrose in Bircherley Green.

Just a thought, but this may not be intended as a replacement for the Hertford store, but more an additional outlet.

The Little Waitrose model is for High St's. Any tie-up at Van Hages would seem more likely a full-blown supermarket. PLEASE!!!!!

I must say that when I went up there this weekend it still has a feel of opened just after Christmas in some sections, rather than spring stuff, BBQs etc...and non-branded sauce sachets in the café!

It always feels a little direction less this time every year, treading water until Spring arrives. Still it's Feb and yesterday felt like a spring day despite the flooding!

I would love a Waitrose at Van Hages! Much better than ASDA.

I prefer Poundland, probably be open before either of those.
