Street Life - Tudor Sq

I look forward to the Tudor Sq improvements. https://twitter.com/WareTownCouncil/sta ... 3075326976 I've thought for a while that it really ought to be tables and chairs for the surrounding restaurants with more trees and awnings providing cover. In the style of a provincial French town. So I generally approve of street life spilling onto the pavement. Except, right now there's some problems.
- Tudor Square is no parking at any time. So the only cars and vehicles in there should be for an event such as the weekly market, monthly food fair or some other specific event. It's not a place to show off your Range Rover. There's a long standing request to HCC (via Cllr Kaye) to re-activate the rising bollards but it's down the bottom of the to-do list.
- Jacoby's needs to leave some room beyond their tables for people to get to the churchyard. There was one day recently when you had to weave through tables, chairs, buggies and people eating and drinking just to get to the churchyard path. I'd rather Jacobys spilled out into the main part of the square as long as they left a path for pedestrians and cycles.
- Does Subway really have approval for a table/area by the Tescos entrance? Does anyone ever actually use it? All it does is get in the way. What is that bin chained to the railings? And why do Tescos have to empty a bucket down the drain though the day? That little corner is pretty gross and Subway have effectively taken over the bicycle railings. Surely we can do better than this.
- Does the Punch House really have to take deliveries on the high street side, blocking West St when they've got their own drive and entrance at the back on Church St?
And so on ...
