Hi All

Just a note that the Ware PSF surgery meets at Ware Library at 2.30pm.

Their blurb says: Every three months we set the local policing priorities in Ware. In June, we will meet again and review suggestions from the community together with reports of police demand and threat, to consider what should form the new priorities.

You can get advanced notice by liking the East Herts Community Safety Partnership on Facebook.

PSF?

Please don't succumb to the politicians habit of using abbreviations or other short forms when addressing the great unwashed :D

Is it one if these?
https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/PSF

My guesses are:
Police and Security Force (UN)
Peat Swamp Forest (conservation)
Partnership for Strong Families
Public Sector Forum (various locations)
Peace Support Force
Practicing Spoken French
Printing Support Facility

Have to say I have no idea what PSF stands for, and copied and pasted the notice so people here would see it. I went along and had a good chat with the officer about local problems in Ware At Mary's ward.

Difficult to track it down, but it's part of the Hertfordshire Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams and stands for "Priority Setting Forum". Quite what that means and what priorities you can set is another matter.

I imagine it's about prioritising different types of crime. For instance, prioritising drug dealing over domestic abuse, or crimes against the person over vehicle crime.
