2nd up Tuesday night 11th March - crucial Ryman league match v Erith + Belvedere.

A win at home to Harrow followed by a 6-2 victory at Erith leaves us with two interesting fixtures this week. Tuesday at home to Erith in the return fixture and Thursday at home to Sudbury in the semi-final of the league cup with a final against Maidstone United the prize.

And now the league cup semi-final on Thursday followed by Tilbury on Saturday, both at home. We have a team worth watching again.

Congrats to Ware for the two wins, what's brought about the improvement?

A new manager has come with the new chairman and with him a lot of new players. I hesitate to jinx the whole thing but they really do seem worth watching now.

Of course the rain has caused so many postponements that we are now further behind with our fixtures than any of the other 71 clubs in the Isthmian League plus we have at least one cup game to go. This means that we have to rest players who would otherwise be playing Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday for most of the rest of the season. Resting players means that you don't always put out your strongest team. So, for example, we beat Erith away 6-2 on Saturday but fielded eight new (i.e. different) players against them at home on Tuesday and only won the match with a last minute goal.

So do come and watch the team but be patient if we are not always at our best.
