Shredding of confidential waste

Following a protracted legal process, I have a fairly large quantity (1 ft high stack!) of A4 white paper that I need to shred and dispose of. My home shredder is not really up to the task, nor is the domestic recycling facility !

Could anyone help me with access to a decent shredding (and recycling) facility ? Its a 30 minute job with the right equipment. And its the first time in six years I have missed being in employment, where such facilities were standard

Fully understand where you are at 'Scottman' - I cleared a pile too using my home shredder it took a few hours, overheated the shredder many times and eventually burnt it out. If there are no reasonable ideas then I suppose a controlled burn, doing a bit at a time in the garden is the answer. (That which burns never returns etc etc) - With hindsight that's what I should have done.

You can bring it here my log burner will deal with it without a problem, overheating being a benefit!

Someone has an amazing business going if they are offering to shred your stuff for over £40 !!
