Tried it yesterday with friends and all quite impressed - good food (and good range) and good beers and wine choice. Loved the way they have highlighted the interior decor and created quite different areas in the place, with comfy chairs, stools and benches in different parts to create 'rooms' to suit all tastes. The high ceilings and some soft furnishings mean it's a place where you can actually hear what someone is saying to you, and it not be drowned out by 'background' music. A hit with us.

I went to the Waterside Inn on the Sat 16th August for lunch with a friend. I was wearing shorts and t shirt and had no problems with the staff about a dress code.
The pub has totally changed for the better from the dive it was before. The décor looks fantastic and the tables are set out really well so you are not sitting on top of each other. There is a great variety of ales and the menu is very much improved. The beer garden has also had a revamp with garden furniture and a covered are to sit outside when our summers are very wet. I had one of there burgers and so did my friend and it is a 100% improvement on what was there before.
The staff were very polite and the food was bought to us very quickly and hot. Overall this is such an improvement to a pub that clearly has the best beer garden in Ware right on the canal, and Ware town itself could really benefit from this rather than the bad reputation the Navigator had.
I think with every new place opening up there is always going to be teething problems and if anybody had a bad experience there they should maybe politely let the staff know so they have a chance to put things right I am sure they would rather have constructive feedback than bad reviews, you never no you might get a free meal out of it.
Overall great pub, great food and great staff and after a few months I think they will even be able to get rid of the bouncers on the Friday and Saturday night which will be good for everybody.
