Steve, there was a bigger range than Tesco but still missing many things we buy regularly so that's why I say it didn't really add anything. That's just us. I expect Tesco will take a hit, but they hadn't yesterday speaking to staff there. Just as busy as usual.

I'm no retail expert and just popped in for a few essentials but so much better than Tesco in Ware, they should be worried. Having a man in a suit greeting you as they did in Tesco yesterday won't be anywhere near enough!

I can only assume Tesco don't care. They've had a couple of years to improve the Ware shop had haven't bothered.

Generally this seems to be part of the overall poor management at Tesco but I suspect that, in relation to Ware specifically, it has been written off, or at least nothing will be done until they can be sure it is viable.

They still have Sainsbury to cope with and I think that could actually be more of a threat.

I decided to pop in today, but was not that impressed. The shelves were rather very tall and with the narrow aisles it felt as if i was shopping in a warehouse. The prices were comparable with Tesco's so I doubt if I will be using it very often. Tesco's is closer for me and I can get to the High Street.

Yes, I must admit to never really "liking" Asda, but had hoped a brand new store would feel nicer, but it felt like it had been there for ever. The car park and entrance were nice, but then as soon as you get in to the main part you could be anywhere. Overly intrusive music blaring out hardly endeared it to me, either.

The cafe area and roof terrace looked quite nice though.

I haven't actually made it up to ASDA yet - but I'm going to have to give it a try as I came out of Tescos's this morning with only half my list completed and the rest no longer stocked there. First time ever - two managers waiting to say 'Good Morning' to me - but that doesn't make up for the lack of product, nor for the fact that most tills were closed and the few customers in there still had to queue while the rest of the staff stood in huddles discussing the situation. Car park was nearly empty too - you could almost hear the tumbleweed rolling through.

Car parking at ASDA doesn't affect me - but one friend who called in yesterday said she got in and parked OK but then found it difficult to find her way out. She thought the signage was very poor. Also someone else we know was coming down Watton Road and nearly got hit by someone pulling out of Asda and turning right into Ware, so I guess that will need sorting soon.

This is why we no longer do our main shop there, it has been getting steadily worse for a very long time but Tesco simply ignore their customers comments. Although on one occasion a complaint did result in the item returning for a while at least.

As for ASDA, it's a standard type of store (I prefer Morrissons given a choice) much like all their others, nothing special. If the signs are poor then maybe mention it to them.
The turning right is clearly an issue and maybe should be raised with them and the council, It seems most of their customers were expected to be coming down Watton Rd a roundabout would probably have been better.

They still hadn't put up exit signs in the car park yesterday although did have staff to give directions. The car park did get over full around fiveish and people were parking in nearby streets.
