Streetlife closing and changing to Nextdoor

Some of you may also be on Streetlife which has just been taken over by Nextdoor, an American company. Myself and many others do not like the approach from Nextdoor which tries to get you to sign up neighbours and also shows your full name and address and I think there may be an influx of new Wareonline members and activity once Streetlife shuts down.
I hope to see some renewed activity here

I've never heard of this! Just had a look, not sure I want to volunteer my address. Would I find many people on it in my vicinity then?

I moved across some weeks ago and created Ware North and unwittingly became the lead for it.
59 people had joined in a few days before I closed my account for privacy reasons (full address shown, data sharing, etc).
Incidentally closing a Nextdoor account simply deactivates it. It doesn't delete your account & your data is retained for an unspecified period.
So it was goodbye Nextdoor
