Sorry, mean't to say 'my anger' not 'the anger', i can see how that can give that a completely different slant!

The County Council are currently undertaking a public consultation o changes to recycling centres. I would encourage everyone to take part.

Have done. It seems from the way the questions are asked that it's a done deal and the council are just trying to mitigate the public anger a bit by allowing a few options on the changes. The council are seriously myopic sometimes on local issues.

Likewise questionnaire completed, tried to point out the stupidity of proposing the closure of one local site and then, at the same time, reducing the opening hours of the next nearest which already is usually quite busy. As mentioned already, a fly tippers charter!

That was a fake consultation if ever I've seen one. Definitely channeling you to support the Council's options rather than actually being able to give a real opinion until the box at the end.

It's a complete farce, the decision's been made already. Wait until the council are in such a bind when our dump will be heaving even more with the hoddesdon lot and more Ware folk as the town grows, all cramming to get into that dump with it's reduced hours. The traffic will be be backed up to the a10, it'll be backed up the other end from the new asda and our beautiful countryside sill be littered with old matresses! The council are going to wish they listened more to us in the first place and actually expanded the place rather than contracted it, madness!
