More flooding

Post by John_D »

A602 closed at the Nth Ware A10 roundabout, Anchor Lane between Wadesmill and the A602 flooded in the middle and near the A602 roundabout, was passable (just) at around 9am but may well be closed now
The road from the A602 Anchor Lane roundabout towards Bengeo flooded by a small river running across it at the first Chapmore End road, again passable with care at about 9am but no promises that it is now  The A119 from Waterford towards Watton at Stone flooded, lots of abandoned cars, A602 closed both ways from Watton at Stone towards Stevenage.
All in all not a good day for getting around East Herts

I returned from Stevenage at about 7:00 p.m. It looked as if I was wise not to stay later. The road, especially at High Cross, was getting very dodgy even then.

any more updates on A602?

BBC site only reporting "Gresley Way in Stevenage closed in both directions between the Broadwater Lane junction and the Magpie Crescent junction" (which is off A602 just as you enter Stevenage), but nothing else. Junior has a train to catch from Stevenage this pm so would appreciate any intelligence out there.
