Does anybody know the name of the fruit tree by the road past The Fire Station, coming down to the roundabout?

I presume you mean the tree before the entrance and by the roundabout - could be a Cherry Tree but I've never been brave enough to eat one??

If it's the one I think you mean they are edible plums but not a good idea since they are close to a busy road.

Thank you -all - I did eat some and they taste a cross between a plum and a cherry. Really yum!

Ate a load this morning with the kids, called them 'cherry plums' as a boy. They seem to taste more sour as an adult than i remember
