What got me was the number of Ar**h*l** drivers. Who thought it would be funny if they drove through the floods at speed. Just a bunch of w****** if you ask me.

Heaviest rain I can remember for a long time. I feel sorry for the guys currently digging trenches for replacement water main in our road at the moment. They carefully dug some very nice, several feet deep, holes, tidied up all the spoil and then it started to rain, and rain. With the run off from the road, the holes are completely filled with water. They are supposed to be putting in the new pipes on Thursday - not sure whether this will be to schedule now!

I haven't seen so much rain in the 8 years since i have been here. There was more water than last year's river surge!
